The Central Gauteng Lions and Cricket South Africa have unveiled Estee Lauder Companies as an associate sponsor to the Momentum Pink Day one-day international on 9 February 2020, which will be contested by South Africa and England at the Imperial Wanderers Stadium.
“Estee Lauder Companies has committed to the partnership from the point of launch through to Pink Mondays, the Pitch Up In Pink golf day, the school activations, and the actual match day activations,” says Wanele Mngomezulu, Marketing and Communications Manager at CGL. “Critical to this partnership is Estee Lauder Companies’ envisaged and much-valued support towards the breast cancer unit at the Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital and other additional initiatives aimed at raising breast cancer awareness.”
“Somewhere in the world, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every 15 seconds,” says Loren Dreyer, General Manager Estee Lauder Companies, South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. “That is why, since 1992, Estée Lauder Companies has been committed to saving lives by uniting, inspiring and mobilizing the global citizen towards the mission of ‘The Breast Cancer Campaign’, which is aimed towards creating a world that is free of breast cancer. Estée Lauder Companies is therefore a proud partner to CGL and CSA towards the roll-out of the 2019 ‘Pitch up in Pink’ campaign, aimed at helping to raise awareness of breast cancer, a partnership that will enhance our relationship with Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital and therefore our efforts to fight the silent killer.”
